Travelling to and entering Switzerland

During its session of 16th February 2022, the Federal Council decided to lift nearly all protective measures, including the entry regulations.

It is therefore no longer necessary for persons who aren't arriving from a country at risk to present :

  • A vaccination certificate or
  • A recovery certificate or
  • A certificate of negative test and
  • An entry form

Am I even allowed to travel to Switzerland?

The interactive travel check and the website of the State Secretariat for Migration (SEM) will give you more information on this.

If entry is permitted: People entering Switzerland from a country with a variant of concern must observe the health-related measures at the border. You will find information on the individual measures on this site.

PCR Test

Currently you do not have to present a negative test result to enter Switzerland.

In any case you should find out directly from the airline or travel company what rules they apply.

Entry form

Currently you do not have to fill out an entry form for entry to Switzerland.

It is the list of countries with a variant of concern that determines whether you have to complete an entry form. Since there are currently no countries or areas on this list, until further notice people arriving can enter Switzerland without an entry form.
